Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. Then she went to an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in running 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend the title in front of her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third of each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
