Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix had an early flair for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting ability at the when she was just a teenager. After only 10 weeks after her initial attempt, she was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the 200 meter race. She won the title at the 2007 World Championships, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently among the top 3 athletes in her various events during the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
